An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an Associate Employment Solicitor to join a forward-thinking law firm with a national presence, to be based in Leeds. This is a fantastic role for a solicitor with solid experience in employment law who is seeking to build on their technical skills and work within a supportive and collaborative legal team.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Working within a reputable and growing Employment Law Department, you will manage a caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, advising clients across a variety of sectors.
This role is ideally suited to a qualified solicitor with a strong foundation in employment law and a passion for delivering commercially sound, client-focused legal advice. You’ll benefit from excellent development prospects in a firm that places genuine emphasis on career progression.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advise and represent clients across a range of employment matters including unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE and whistleblowing
  • Handle cases both independently and collaboratively with senior team members
  • Engage directly with clients, courts, counsel and relevant third parties
  • Support insurance-funded litigation, including considerations of policy coverage
  • Represent clients before the Employment Tribunal and in other relevant forums
  • Delegate and supervise work of junior team members including paralegals and trainees
  • Maintain full compliance with all professional regulatory obligations
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and client care
