What You’ll Do At Premier Community Supports, we’re committed to empowering individuals to achieve meaningful, integrated employment. As an Employment Specialist, you’ll make a direct impact by supporting job seekers to build confidence, secure employment, and thrive in the workplace. Job Development · Build positive relationships with local employers to identify job opportunities. · Assist individuals with completing applications and preparing for interviews. · Attend interviews alongside individuals for encouragement and support. · Facilitate discussions with employers around job responsibilities and workplace expectations. · Support individuals exploring self-employment, including basic business planning and start-up guidance. Job Coaching & Support · Provide hands-on coaching to help individuals learn job tasks and routines. · Identify and implement workplace adaptations or accommodations. · Coordinate with residential, transportation, and natural support networks to ensure success. · Work closely with other support professionals (behavioral, medical, etc.). · Help individuals build strong communication and professional relationships with supervisors and coworkers. · Promote workplace integration through natural supports and gradual fading of job coaching. · Assist in career advancement efforts (increased hours, raises, promotions, etc.). · Offer on-the-job attendant care as needed. Physical & Work Environment Requirements · Reasonable accommodations provided as needed. · Occasional lifting/moving up to 10 lbs. · Work may occur in community, employer worksites, and off-site locations.
