Description POSITION SUMMARY: Performs comprehensive Workforce Inclusion Network (WIN) services per The MAC Policy and Procedure and adhere to the MAC Core Values. The position is a center-based (in-person) position and the role’s primary function is to develop and maintain long-term interactions with MAC Members, their families, and employment partners to achieve work opportunities and employment goals of the members served. As needed, this role may require establishing and maintaining relationships with employers and community organizations to develop work opportunities for individuals with disabilities and to support employers in continuing employment for WIN Members. Requirements MAC COMPETENCIES: Active Listening Skills – Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Critical Thinking – Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum two (2) years of experience in job development and community outreach for people with disabilities required. Minimum two (2) years of managing a caseload, focused on employment outcomes for individuals with disabilities. Current UNT Job Skills Training and Job Placement Specialist Certification (or completion within 6 months of employment) required. Experience supporting employment for diverse workgroups, such as veterans and people with disabilities required. PREFERRED SKILLS: Ability to learn or knowledge of Knowledge of American with Disabilities Act (ADA), U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), and Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC). Knowledge of Employment Networks (ENs) and the Ticket-to-Work Program. Experience or knowledge of employment for diverse populations, such as veterans and people with disabilities. Experience with electronic health records or content management systems. Must be Bilingual REQUIRED SKILLS: Proficiency with SharePoint and Microsoft Office. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload and systems of change. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a close team environment. Ability to interact with all visitors and fellow employees in a responsible, courteous manner to ensure a positive and professional environment. Responds promptly to client’s and coworker needs. Ability to work with a diverse population of cultures and varied socioeconomic status. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with complex cases and able to anticipate MAC member needs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Manage a varying caseload of MAC Members, supporting them in navigating their employment journey. Engage, educate, and empower individuals with disabilities and their caregivers to obtain competitive, integrated employment. Establish and maintain a viable community presence by building relationships with local and national community groups. Prioritize, plan, execute and fulfill all community engagement calendars of events (4-5 events a year). Present WIN services to community and business sectors, as needed. Partner with community organizations to host employment-related events such as job fairs, employer luncheons, and networking events. Participated in MAC Care Coordination meetings as a MAC Member advocate providing relevant information to all MAC stakeholders and asking relevant questions on behalf of assigned MAC Member. Build and maintain strong relationships with key community organizations, government agencies, and other external clients. Advise senior leadership on emerging trends, issues, and opportunities related to community engagement and advocacy. WORKING CONDITIONS: Position based in a standard office environment with travel to meetings and outreach events. Core business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. After-hours work is required from time to time, including evenings and weekends. Ability to remain in a stationary position regularly, up to 85% of the time. Frequently move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. and carry office materials and supplies up to 20 pounds. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as calculator, phone, fax, copier, etc. and a personal computer. Ability to exchange accurate information in person and over the phone. Primarily work indoors and within the community. OTHER A job requires accuracy and attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills, while maintaining high levels of initiative to work within specific timelines. Use best practices and demonstrate up-to-date knowledge and skills in technology. Must present a neat, clean, well-groomed, professional appearance. Must have a receptive and retentive mind and memory for details. Must exhibit good judgment, adaptability, persuasiveness, self-confidence, and an optimistic attitude. Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and a reliable vehicle with the minimum auto insurance required by the State – must keep license and insurance current or have reliable transportation.
