We are seeking a passionate and skilled Employment Specialist III to support students and adults with disabilities in the Williamsburg area. Why This Role Matters You will support transition between aged students and adults in the Williamsburg area as they explore careers, gain hands on experience, and achieve their employment goals. You will help students succeed in their first work experience and guide adults as they build long-term careers. The work you do opens doors, builds confidence, and changes lives. What You Will Do Direct Service and Employment Supports * Provide individualized employment services that help people with disabilities secure and maintain meaningful work. * Conduct situational assessments in real work settings. * Provide job development, including resume writing, applications, interview practice, and employer outreach. * Deliver on-site job coaching, training, and support to promote independence and job stability. * Provide follow along support as needed and help individuals build strong natural support on the job. * Offer travel training, crisis intervention, and guidance on assistive technology and environmental modifications. * Support students through Pre Employment Transition Services such as Work Readiness Training (classroom setting) and Work Based Learning Experiences. Case Management & Documentation * Independently manage a diverse caseload and meet direct service goals. * Maintain all documentation in accordance with CARF, DARS, DMAS, DBHDS, and Didlake standards. * Communicate progress to counselors, families, referral sources, and internal leadership.  Community & Employer Engagement * Build strong partnerships with employers throughout the region. * Market Didlake’s Supported Employment Program to referral sources. * Arrange interviews, request accommodations, and educate employers on disability inclusion. * Represent Didlake at job fairs, business events, chamber meetings, and community functions. Qualifications What You Bring Education & Experience * Bachelor’s degree in education, vocational rehabilitation, social work, business, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in employment or transition services; — OR a high school diploma and at least five (5) years of related experience. * Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. * Valid driver’s license with at least five years of licensed driving experience and insurable under Didlake’s automobile policy. * Willingness to use your personal vehicle for travel. Skills & Abilities * Strong person-centered planning and coaching skills. * Excellent time management and relationship-building abilities. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic case management systems. * Must meet background check and security clearance requirements.
