Job Title: Employment and Wellbeing Officer
Service/Project: ReachOut
Contract Length: Fixed term until 31st March 2026
Salary: £22,048 per annum (£27,560 FTE)
Working Hours: Part-time: 28 Hours per week
Location: The Community Village, Rock Ferry, and the Wirral community.
The ReachOut project has been helping local unemployed Wirral residents find a job for over 19 years. The service offers free, confidential advice & guidance to support individuals back into employment. We work with a range of specialised partner agencies, such as Wirral Change, to help support clients to overcome a range of barriers that are prevent them from going to work.
The ideal candidate must be fully computer literate; a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential for this role.

This role will involve:

  • Pro-actively engaging with inactive and unemployed community members across Wirral via a variety of methods such as door knocking, community work clubs, events and awareness stands.
  • Building strong working relationships with individuals and families to offer bespoke information, advice, and guidance to identify and specific barriers to employment and plan towards breaking down those barriers.
  • Supporting, motivating and encouraging clients with their journey and transition into work.
  • Offering an end-to-end employability service to address individual needs through CV writing, job search techniques, job applications, confidence building, interview skills and in work support.
  • Be able to effectively manage a caseload whilst possessing strong and accurate attention to detail.
  • Being proactive, person centred and an active team player who has a passion for changing peoples lives for the better via sustainable employment opportunities.
