OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Wellness Group Coordinator to lead our EmpowerHER program’s weekly wellness groups and community engagement efforts. This individual will facilitate group sessions, build trust with participants, strengthen community outreach, and help advance our mission of mental health equity and culturally responsive care.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in wellness groups, mental health support, women’s empowerment programs, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges and needs of Black-identifying women in mental health and wellness.
  • Proven ability to engage, motivate, and empower diverse participants.
  • Experience with public speaking, facilitation, or faith-based engagement strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adaptively within community settings.
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: $26.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate weekly wellness group sessions for Black-identifying women, providing support, empowerment, and skill-building opportunities.
  • Build relationships in the community to recruit and engage participants, leveraging networks, partnerships, and events.
  • Collaborate with participants to create and track individual and group goals.
  • Plan and organize group activities, special events, and workshops in coordination with program staff.
  • Maintain accurate program documentation, attendance records, and progress reports.
  • Represent the EmpowerHER program at community outreach activities, including events in faith communities, wellness fairs, and local gatherings.
  • Work with staff and partners to leverage community resources for the benefit of program participants.
