PHTLS/ITLS

  • 1-3 years of previous dispatch experience related experience in firefighting/EMS

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification
  • APCO BTC or State approved equivalent Certification
  • IAED Emergency Medical Dispatcher Certification
  • Hazmat Material Awareness training Certification
  • Weapons of Mass Destruction or CBRNE Awareness training Certification
  • ICS 100, 200, and NIMS 700, 800 Certification

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Full-Time, Days
  • 40 hours per week

Essential Functions:

  • The Dispatcher-EMT is responsible for answering 9-1-1 telephone calls and other telephone calls, screening them according to the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch IAED ProQA system and dispatching the appropriate resources,
  • The Dispatcher-EMT will utilize a Computer Aided Dispatch system, radio communications system, and telephone system to communicate with units in the field, update their status on assignment, and ensure the safety of all personnel,
  • This position requires superior communication skills and customer service skills
