Description Memphis, TN Salary: $68,000 – $73,000 per year Vital Medical Transport is hiring an experienced EMS Operations Manager / Paramedic Supervisor to lead daily ambulance operations in Memphis, Tennessee. This role oversees paramedics and EMTs, manages field operations, and ensures high-quality emergency medical services. Ideal candidates include experienced Paramedic Supervisors, Field Training Officers, EMS Lieutenants, or senior Paramedics ready to move into operations leadership. EMS Operations & Leadership Supervise and support paramedics and EMTs responding to emergency and non-emergency medical calls Manage day-to-day ambulance operations and shift activities Maintain staffing schedules and approve PTO requests Monitor and track time and attendance compliance Ensure all personnel operate within state, federal, and local EMS regulations Quality & Compliance Oversee completion and accuracy of Patient Care Reports (PCRs) Implement and monitor quality assurance initiatives Address employee issues, provide coaching, and manage disciplinary actions when necessary Ensure adherence to company policies, medical protocols, and safety standards Emergency Response & Patient Care Provide patient care at Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) levels Respond to emergency calls and assist with patient extrication and transport Participate in multi-casualty incident response and disaster planning Ensure proper infection control and exposure reporting procedures Operational Management Oversee vehicle readiness, equipment inspections, and supply management Assign and monitor fuel card usage Maintain EMS inventory and ensure proper station supply levels Assist in training and onboarding new EMS personnel Communication & Collaboration Maintain strong communication with EMS personnel, hospitals, and medical staff Serve as a liaison between field crews and executive leadership Support community engagement and professional development opportunities Why Join Vital Medical Transport Competitive $68K – $73K salary Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance 401(k) Retirement Benefit with a company match Leadership opportunity in a growing EMS organization Supportive team environment focused on patient care and operational excellence Requirements Licenses & Certifications Tennessee Licensed Paramedic 5+ years EMS experience Prior EMS leadership, shift supervisor, or field training experience preferred National Registry Paramedic preferred Valid Tennessee Driver’s License BLS certification required ACLS and PALS preferred Skills Strong leadership and team management skills Experience supervising EMS field operations Knowledge of EMS regulations, protocols, and compliance requirements Experience with EMS software systems and reporting tools Proficiency in Microsoft Office Working Conditions This role operates in both office and field environments, including emergency scenes, hospitals, and ambulance operations. The position may involve: Exposure to extreme weather conditions High-stress emergency situations Heavy lifting and patient transport Operation of emergency vehicles and medical equipment EMS personnel must be able to lift and move patients and equipment up to 250 lbs with assistance and perform physically demanding tasks in a variety of environments.
