Description Berkeley County Emergency Ambulance Authority (BCEAA) is seeking motivated individuals to join our EMT Academy. This is a paid, entry-level opportunity designed for candidates with little to no prior EMS experience who are eager to start a career in emergency medicine. During this 8-week program, recruits will engage in a combination of lectures, hands-on training, and clinical rotations led by certified EMS instructors with extensive field experience. Upon successful completion of the EMT course portion of the academy, recruits will be eligible to sit for the National Registry and West Virginia state certification exams. After obtaining certification, recruits will complete a 120-hour field preceptorship to fulfill the final requirements of the academy. BCEAA offers competitive pay with an enhanced benefit package to include: Medical, dental and vision insurance provided at no cost to the employee and a 50% cost share for family coverage. Generous paid time off for vacation and sick time which begins to accrue on day 1 of employment. Pension plan through the WV Consolidated Public Retirement Board.
