Description EMT Teacher Aide Work Study (CGCC STUDENTS ONLY) This position is available to Federal Work Study students only and supports the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program. Salary $16.00 Hourly Location The Dalles, OR Department Nursing and Health Department Opening Date October 14, 2025 JOB SUMMARY: This position provides hands-on support to the EMT program by assisting instructors, maintaining classrooms and supporting program operations. This role helps ensure a safe, organized, and efficient learning environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities needed. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Assist instructor with setting up and organization classroom, labs, and training activities. Manage and distribute training materials, supplies, and equipment during class sessions. Track inventory and report supply needs to program staff. Provide logistical support to students during skills practice. Basic administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, and document preparation. Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS ROLE: Basic organizational and communication skills Basic knowledge of EMT terminology, equipment and training procedures (or willingness to learn) Dependability and a strong sense of responsibility Ability to work to follow written and verbal instructions accurately Basic knowledge of Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel is a plus EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must be a current CGCC student approved for Federal Work Study. No prior experience required—training will be provided. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: This position may require standing for extended periods and occasional light lifting (up to 30 pounds).
