Description

We are seeking End User Computing (EUC) Engineer to join our team. This role will focus on improving the overall end user experience through automation, innovation, and effective design of desktop and virtual desktop environments. You will provide support for existing and future end user computing architectures, while also playing a key role in enhancing security, driving innovation, and optimizing technology solutions for the organization.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in a desktop engineering or end-user experience role.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use solution-oriented approaches to problem-solving.
  • Excellent documentation skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.

TECHNICAL SKILLS & BACKGROUND

  • Windows Desktop OS Support: 3+ years of experience.
  • Enterprise Application Deployment: 3+ years of experience using modern deployment tools.
  • Scripting & Automation: 3+ years of experience with scripting languages.
  • Software Packaging: 3+ years of experience packaging software for deployments.
  • Profile Management: 3+ years of experience managing Windows profiles.
  • VMware UEM/DEM: At least 1 year of hands-on experience.
  • VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure): Experience delivering environments via VMware Horizon and instant clone desktops.
  • Strong troubleshooting experience with desktop applications and environments.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices.
  • Passion for adopting and implementing new technologies to enhance business operations.

Responsibilities
  • Package application deployments for end-user environments using VMware AppStacks.
  • Preserve end-user profile settings using VMware UEM/DEM and troubleshoot application installation, performance, and runtime issues.
  • Maintain Operating System base builds, including feature updates, software updates, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Lead meetings with Business, IT, and Security leaders to develop requirements and communicate changes to the environment.
  • Drive automation initiatives in end-user technology and desktop environments.
  • Design, develop, enhance, and implement software solutions, ensuring system integration and compatibility across multiple platforms.
  • Evaluate and recommend application software packages, integration, and testing tools.
  • Remove barriers to end-user technology, enabling seamless business operations.
  • Provide tactical and strategic recommendations to improve the end-user experience.
  • Deliver on-call support as per assigned schedules.
  • Create and maintain documentation for policies, procedures, and technical changes.
  • Offer cross-training and mentorship to fellow team members.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery.
