JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking one casual position (Saturday) for a Registered Nurse at our endoscopy clinic.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

• Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• BScN preferred
• Minimum 2 years post anesthetic nursing experience required
• Endoscopy experience strongly preferred
• Current BCLS certificate
• ACLS required or willing to obtain upon hire
• Experience and knowledge regarding conscious sedation required
• Advanced gastroenterology and procedural knowledge preferred
• Knowledge with vascular access insertion and device selection required
• Excellent communication, facilitation, organizational and teaching skills
• Ability to work effectively in a Patient-Focused Care environment within a multidisciplinary team, including students
• Demonstrated interest in personal professional development
• Demonstrated commitment to Person Centred Care approach and principles

  Pay: From $38.00 per hour

Experience:

• endoscopy: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Registered Nurse (RN) License (required)

Provides direct patient care pre, intra, and post procedure, and monitoring for patients undergoing endoscopic, medical procedures, in accordance with standards of the College of Nurses, the organization and Patient Focus Care philosophy; provides education/counselling, and documents information according to appropriate standards.
