Overview:
Currently seeking an Endoscopy Technician for the Brunswick Endoscopy Center located in Supply, North Carolina.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 am - 3:30 pm, no weekends or holidays!
Location: Brunswick Endoscopy Center, 13 Medical Campus Drive, Supply NC 28462
Department: Endoscopy

The Endoscopy Technician:

  • Assists physicians and RNs during endoscopic, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Prepares, assembles, and cleans scopes, instruments, equipment, rooms for procedures according to established protocols.
  • Performs routine clerical functions and data entry in scheduled procedures, filing procedure data and ensuring accuracy of patient identification.
  • Communicates in a positive and effective manner with members of the department and health care team.
  • Performs other tasks as identified by the RN or supervisor.
  • Transports specimen as needed.
  • Maintains acceptable work quantity i.e. productivity, organization, planning and time management.)
  • Maintains area as cost effectively as possible.

EDUCATION:

  • A high school diploma or GED required.
  • Certificate in Endoscopy Technology preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years experience in an Endoscopy physician’s office, outpatient department or hospital.
