Inova Oakville Surgery Center is a full service ambulatory outpatient facility. We are licensed, Medicare certified, and AAAHC accredited. We provide cost-effective outpatient services using modern, state-of-the-art technology in a friendly and caring environment by highly-skilled, compassionate staff. We are seeking a Endoscopy Technician to join our team.   The Endoscopy/GI Technician plays an essential role in supporting endoscopic procedures, focusing on equipment preparation, patient care, and assisting clinical staff. Working under the direction of nurses and gastroenterologists, the Endoscopy/GI Technician ensures that all necessary equipment is sterile, operational, and ready for use, and helps maintain a safe, clean environment for patients throughout their procedures. Duties & Responsibilities:  * Equipment Preparation and Maintenance: Set up, calibrate, and ensure high-level disinfection (HLD) of all endoscopic instruments and equipment. Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance as needed * Procedure Assistance: Support the clinical team during endoscopic procedures by handing instruments to the physician, assisting with specimen collection, and ensuring the patient’s comfort * Patient Preparation and Post-Procedure Care: Help prepare patients for procedures, provide support and reassurance, and assist with patient positioning. Aid in the post-procedure process, including cleaning and preparing the room for the next patient * Infection Control and Safety Compliance: Follow strict infection control guidelines, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment, rooms, and instruments according to regulatory standards * Documentation and Communication: Record procedure details, patient information, and any instrument usage or issues accurately. Communicate with clinical staff to ensure a smooth flow of operations Qualifications:  * Minimum of one year experience as an Endoscopy/GI Technician preferred * Experience in an acute or ambulatory setting is desired * High school diploma or equivalent certification * Completion of Endoscopy Technician Training * The Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates Advanced Program completion, a plus * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon start * Strong understanding of sterile processing and infection control procedures * Good interpersonal skills and attention to detail Benefits: * Paid Holidays * Paid Time Off * Medical, Dental, Vision insurance * Life & Disability Insurance * Flexible Spending Accounts * 401(k) Retirement Plan with generous Employer Match * Tuition Reimbursement * Student Loan Repayment Assistance Program - up to $10,000
