We focus on offering a high quality, service oriented environment for your surgical procedure.   Position summary: Under the general supervision of the Physician and a Registered Nurse, the GI Technician is responsible for providing assistance and set up on all gastroenterology procedures dependent on individual competence. This individual must have previous Gastroenterology Tech experience in an ASC or hospital setting.     * Delivers safe patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse and according to center’s policy and procedure.  *  Efficiently and effectively assists physician with procedures. * Anticipates physicians’ needs both in preparing for procedure and during procedure. * Reports the patient's planned outcomes to the Registered Nurse in a timely and appropriate manner. * Demonstrates ability to respond to patient care and facility needs in an emergency situation. * Initiates and implements basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as appropriate. * Demonstrates knowledge of specific responsibilities in all emergency situations. * Demonstrates ability to meet patient's and family's learning needs as identified in the plan of care. * Demonstrates continued competence in treating, and caring for individuals based upon age-specific needs utilizing a developmental perspective. * Displays an understanding of each patient’s cognitive, physical, emotional, and chronological maturity in the assessments, treatment, and care undertaken. * Appropriately modifies approach to the patient based upon patient age utilizing a developmental perspective. * Provides appropriate interventions related to safety issues. * Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and competence of designated skills identified for position. * seeking at least one year of GI Technician experience preferred.    Qualifications * High school graduate or equivalent * GI/Endoscopy Experience preferred * Previous clinical experience in the GI / Endoscopy Procedure room environment preferred * Current certification in CPR or able to obtain prior to hire.   What We Offer As an organization, one way we care for our communities and each other is by providing a comprehensive benefits package that includes: * Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage * Life and AD&D coverage * Availability of short- and long-term disability * Flexible financial benefits including FSAs and HSAs * 401(k) and access to retirement planning * Paid holidays and vacation   Who We Are At USPI, we create relationships that create better care.
