Description The Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation (EAF®) is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven professional to serve as Endowment Program Coordinator. This position reports directly to the Executive Director and plays a critical role in the stewardship and administration of the Foundation’s endowment portfolio. Position Overview The Endowment Program Coordinator leads the day-to-day administration of the Foundation’s endowment funds, ensuring financial accuracy, donor stewardship, compliance with fund criteria, and timely processing of scholarship and grant payments. This is a highly accountable position requiring strong judgment, responsiveness, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. The Coordinator serves as the primary liaison to endowment fund holders and collaborates closely with internal staff, volunteers, and finance partners to maintain the integrity of the Foundation’s endowment operations. Temporary staff may be supervised during peak cycles. Work Environment This is a fully on-site position located in Chicago, Illinois (Hyde Park neighborhood). The environment is fast-paced and mission-driven, with peak activity during scholarship applications, award, and fiscal reporting cycles. The role requires frequent interaction with donors, members, volunteers, and internal staff. Occasional travel may be required for meetings or special events. Compensation The salary range for this position is $45,600 - $68.400, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Placement within the range is based on relevant experience, education, and demonstrated competency. Requirements Master’s degree preferred in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Working knowledge of fund accounting principles, including restricted and operating funds, preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), experience with Asana or similar project management software; experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar donor management systems preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions while applying policies fairly and consistently. Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and meet deadlines. Commitment to professional responsiveness and donor stewardship. Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive matters. A written proficiency examination may be required.
