Job Description: Japanese Speaking Security Engineer We are seeking an Intermediate-Level Japanese Speaking Security Engineer to support Security Operations (SOC) with a primary focus on Microsoft Defender, Trend Micro, and Email Security platforms. This role is responsible for security monitoring, alert triage, and incident response across endpoint, email, and cloud environments, while working closely with Japanese-speaking customers and stakeholders. A minimum Japanese proficiency of JLPT N2 is mandatory. This position is ideal for engineers with hands-on SOC or L1 detection & response experience, aiming to advance into L2 security analysis or threat response roles. Job Description: · Monitor and triage security alerts using Microsoft Defender, Trend Micro, and Email Security platforms · Perform Level 1 incident analysis, validation, and escalation following SOC procedures · Investigate threats such as phishing, malware, suspicious logins, and endpoint alerts · Support email security monitoring, including phishing detection and threat analysis · Execute basic incident response actions (log review, evidence collection, documentation) · Act as shift lead, coordinating daily SOC activities, guiding team members, and ensuring SLA adherence · Escalate complex incidents to Level 2 / Level 3 and ensure proper handover between shifts · Communicate effectively with Japanese-speaking stakeholders for incident updates and coordination · Maintain incident reports, SOPs, and operational documentation. Job Level required: Japanese Speaking Security Engineer (Monitoring & Response – Intermediate) · Independently handle routine monitoring and incident response tasks (Level 1) · Apply standardized SOC playbooks and procedures · Provide accurate and timely incident escalation · Contribute to alert tuning and process improvement · Demonstrate growth toward advanced investigation and response. Technical Skills and Experience Required: Essential Requirement: 1. 2–4 years of experience in SOC operations / security monitoring / incident response. 2. Solid understanding of Cybersecurity fundamentals (threat landscape, attack techniques) and Incident response lifecycle. 3. Japanese language proficiency: Minimum JLPT N2 (mandatory), with ability to participate in professional technical discussions and read/write basic technical documentation in Japanese. Required Technology Implementation Experience 1. Must Have: · Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (EDR) · Microsoft Defender for Office 365 (Email Security focus) · Trend Micro solutions (Apex One, Vision One, Deep Security or equivalent) · Email Security technologies (phishing detection, secure email gateways, threat analysis) · Security Monitoring & Incident Response (alert triage, investigation, escalation) 2.
