Job Title: Endpoint Systems Engineer
Job Type: Contract-to-hire
Location: Plano, TX
Hours: Onsite; Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Pay Rate: $40-$45/hr.

POSITION SUMMARY:

GTS is currently hiring for a critical role responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Apple and Windows endpoint configurations and user applications across both virtual and physical desktop and mobile environments. This position ensures a seamless technology experience for students, teachers, and staff across the district.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
• Relevant technical certifications preferred (e.g., Jamf, Microsoft, CompTIA, etc.)

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Strong expertise in Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, especially Jamf for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS
• Experience with Apple School Manager and Apple Classroom
• Skilled in managing Windows operating systems using Microsoft Intune and/or SCCM
• Familiarity with Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Active Directory, and Group Policy Management
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• ·Ability to manage multiple priorities and build effective relationships across teams

EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years configuring desktop and mobile device policies
• 5+ years managing Apple OS-based devices and applications
• 5+ years managing Windows-based computers and applications
• Prior experience supporting technology in a K-12 educational environment is a plus

• Lead the evaluation and adoption of mobile technologies to improve performance, user experience, and cost efficiency
• Design, configure, and deploy Apple devices including iPads, MacBooks, and Apple TVs
• Manage MDM solutions to enforce device security, updates, and compliance
• Create and customize Windows OS images; support application packaging and deployment
• Implement and maintain endpoint security and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and drive strategic initiatives
• Coordinate software and system updates using a structured change management process
• Maintain thorough documentation on device configurations, policies, and procedures
• Provide exceptional customer service while supporting students, teachers, and staff
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and maintain up-to-date certifications
• Perform after-hours maintenance, upgrades, and support as needed
