ICF is seeking an entry level candidate to provide support for our utility program team in Michigan and Indiana. This individual will gain exposure to various types of energy efficiency projects and collaborate with a team of professionals to provide best practice solutions to our clients. Energy Analysts at ICF have the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge, gain exposure to major projects, and build content knowledge and consulting skills.
Working closely with program and portfolio managers, this individual will coordinate and contribute to various deliverables such as creating and managing progress reports, quality control activities and reporting, conducting research, supporting program stakeholders and participants, and researching products and enhancements.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO HAVE (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS):

  • Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, environmental studies, energy resources, business, public policy, or a similar field. (or applicants can substitute one year of related experience for one year of education)
  • 2+ years of experience in energy efficiency, project support/management, administration, data analytics, or related fields

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:

  • Strong client-facing skills for local in-person meetings with client.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience managing customer or client relationships.
  • Detail-oriented mindset to fine tune and improve processes.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
Responsibilities
  • Provide general program support and collaborate with cross-functional teams on various energy efficiency projects, such as the IT and Marketing teams or subcontractors.
  • Support various internal staff with data management and analysis.
  • Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets and databases for internal tracking.
  • Analyze data and call out trends, find and address errors to resolution.
  • Develop and update high quality client reports within required timelines.
  • Ensure program alignment with goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Review project application forms and submittals by customers, contractors, and other program participants in order to ascertain compliance with program policies and procedures.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of process documents.
  • Coordinate with or follow up on program quality control activities such as inspections, customer surveys and escalations as appropriate.
  • Handle and track issues brought by subcontractors, customers, and customer service representatives.
  • Regularly review program QC findings. Based on the findings, leverage best practices and continuous improvement to implement long term solutions in partnership with the client and ICF Program Managers.
  • Undertake other duties as required to support initiatives and provide direct support to program and portfolio managers, as well as division leadership, as needed.
  • Client-facing engagement
  • Must be comfortable attending in-person meetings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
  • Ability to support business development initiatives through in-person interactions.
  • Midstream project coordination
  • Support local distributor and trade ally coordination, engagement, program information and events.
  • Retail Products Program (RPP) oversight and engagement:
  • Provide leadership and oversight for RPP activities.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure program success.
  • Ability to navigate program-specific requirements and maintain compliance.
