The University has recently implemented the new Estates Strategy and Masterplan 2024-2030, underpinned by the Decarbonisation Masterplan and the Infrastructure Masterplan. A refreshed Carbon Management Plan is due to be completed over the coming months.
At this exciting stage on a decarbonisation journey, we are looking to recruit an experienced and professionally qualified Energy and Decarbonisation Manager to join our Estates and Campus Services team based in Preston.
Reporting to the Head of Sustainability, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the utilities contracts and data, including the monthly monitoring and forecasting of energy utilisation and the associated budgets. Working closely with the Engineering & Maintenance team, you will also lead on BMS optimisation and energy/carbon reducing projects and initiatives. You will also lead on other sustainability projects delegated by the Head of Sustainability.
