Job Description
- Developing and building relationships with new and existing clients, including cold calling, participating in meetings, lunches as well as attending industry events and presentations.
- Identifying potential business opportunities through the review of all appropriate business channels, relationships, communications/media, or other means as applicable.
- Qualification of these opportunities by determining feasibility, funding status, inter-relationships with other companies, and type of project.
- Working with the Executive VP to develop marketing strategies.
- Administering and maintaining Energy Business Development core documents.
- Defining key stakeholders in client organizations and building an understanding of their strategic objectives.
- Building and providing efficient delivery of estimates, schedules, service descriptions, finished proposals, presentations, and other Energy Business Development documents.
- Maintaining a good working knowledge of client’s potential projects, strategies, engagements, commitments, and business relationships with a view to understanding the relevance of our organization’s offering to address those requirements.
- Coordination of proposal activities, including clarification of customer requirements and organization of internal inputs.
- Updating and maintaining an Energy Business Plan and Strategy based on market conditions, client requirements, target project scopes, and internal capabilities.
- Working with project teams to define future opportunities.
- Updating and maintaining a customer relationship management (CRM) system to track opportunities and client accounts.
- Participating in internal meetings, representing Energy Business Development, and assisting the senior management team in providing business development updates to internal stakeholders and the rest of the organization.
- Supporting the growth ambition of Egis in the nuclear activities in Canada, leveraging this market as part of a unique international global strategy.
- Developing a strategy and business plan on how to support our clients in decarbonizing their processes and for renewable energy.
- Building and monitoring a Commercial Action Plan to meet our Energy objectives in growth, order intake, revenues, and profitability.
- Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators to measure the success of business development initiatives and strategies.
- Responsible for secure the Order Intake objectives for Energy, as well as building and maintaining strong relationships with private and public clients.
Qualifications
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING BACKGROUND, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Relevant customer relations, Energy Business Development experience.
- Well-connected in the industry, with a network of contacts within engineering partners, contractors and other related firms.
- Expert knowledge of the local Canadian market.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to inspire and influence others without direct hierarchical authority.
- Strategic mindset, big picture thinker and solid problem-solving skills.
- Deadline focused.
- Advanced writing skills.
- Familiarity with engineering principles, terminology, and practices to accurately and effectively communicate technical concepts.
- Knowledge of French is desirable.
