Description
Viener is searching for its headquarters an Energy Junior Analyst Viener sources and manages electricity and natural gas for the Viohalco companies, leveraging technology and data to reduce both environmental impact and operational costs. As a licensed participant in the Greek electricity and natural gas wholesale markets, Viener also self-supplies a portion of the group’s facilities to support its sourcing-optimization objectives. The Energy Junior Analyst will join Viener—a wholly owned subsidiary of Viohalco—with a core mission of optimizing energy sourcing for all Viohalco companies. The role will work closely with both the energy management team and the operating companies to enhance and support data-driven decision-making related to energy procurement. This position reports directly to the General Manager of Viener and is a maternity cover, with strong potential for permanent employment based on performance and business needs. Responsibilities Support trading and operational activities related to the Energy Exchange (HEnEx). Monitors periodic billing processes and proceeds in analyzing related data Support data management activities and preparation of operational and management reports for Greek and EU entities. Contribute to energy market analysis under the guidance of the Energy team. Provide technical support in projects related to New Energy Solutions and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) based on specific guidelines. Administers communication with suppliers and regulatory authorities. Qualifications Degree or Diploma in Engineering or a related field (e.g. data science, mathematics). No previous experience is required. Strong analytical skills and structured approach to problem solving. Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Greek. Good knowledge of MS Office, with emphasis on Excel. Basic knowledge of programming and databases, with interest in developing data analysis skills (e.g. Python, R, SQL). Considered a Plus Energy Trader Certification from HEnEx. Exposure to programming, data analysis or reporting tools. Basic knowledge of the European energy market. Familiarity with quantitative or business analysis.
