Your challenge as an Energy Management Consultant

As an Energy Management Consultant, you are not only a subject matter expert but also an inspirator and connector. You advise clients on energy conservation and sustainability strategies, conduct analyses and audits, and translate energy data into clear, immediately applicable advice. At the same time, you guide a team of consultants and take a leading role in the development of our services.

In short: 

• You advise clients on energy conservation, sustainability, and compliance (EED, Information Obligation, CO₂ roadmaps).
• You conduct audits and analyses, identify opportunities in energy data, and know how to translate these into practical measures that are actually implemented.
• You switch effortlessly between technology, legislation, and strategy: from BMS analyses to executive advice.
• You are a sparring partner for both clients and colleagues.

To be successful in the role of Consultant, you possess a client-oriented, inspiring personality, strong analytical skills, and the ability to clearly convey complex subject matter to both the client and the team. You are focused on collaboration and know how to achieve maximum return for the client through your advice. We are looking for an experienced consultant who is not only strong in terms of content but can also take the lead. Furthermore, we would like to see that you possess: 

• A completed higher professional or university degree, for example in energy technology, (technical) business administration, or sustainability
• At least 5 years of experience with the sustainability of real estate portfolios or energy management.
• Experience with energy data analysis and knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines.
• Experience managing teams.

Your team

Hellemans Consultancy guides clients through the ever-changing energy landscape. You will work in an open, informal atmosphere within a team of approximately 30 consultants. The energy procurement department consists of 3 teams: government, business, and collectives. The energy management & compliance department consists of 2 teams. Within the energy management team, you will work with 8 direct colleagues to ensure high-quality and service-driven service delivery to our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of this service delivery at the client and/or project level.
