Please visit our website: www.turnerandtownsend.com Job Description Controlling Energy Marshal is responsible for managing and ensuring that energy sources (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.) are safely isolated and controlled before any maintenance or servicing activities take place. This is done to prevent accidental energization of equipment or machinery, which could endanger workers. Their role is typically centered around enforcing energy isolation procedures, especially as part of a Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program. Oversees and assures the Authorizing Energy Marshal and any supplemental vendor support complies with the overall Energy Isolation Program Management on a datacenter construction campus. The Operations appointed Controlling Energy Marshal can act in an Authorizing Energy Marshal role and is accountable for the implementation of all forms of Energy Isolation. Drive the Contractor to develop RCA if found failure in the process and or equipment Oversee the identification, isolation, and control of hazardous energy sources before any maintenance work begins. Ensure that all energy sources (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.) are safely locked out and tagged out to prevent unintended releases during maintenance. Provides authorization and approval of Energy Isolation Work Permits to the Performing Energy Isolation Coordinator Ensures program requirements, contract terms and conditions, and applicable regulatory requirements are followed. Ensure that the Lockout/Tagout procedures are followed during maintenance and repair activities. Drive Contractor to develop Energy isolation plan(s). Drive and expedite Contractor to implement, MSFT HRA Management requirement. Ensure proper lockout/tagout devices are used, and verify that energy isolation is effectively carried out before any work begins Monitor ongoing work to ensure that energy isolation procedures are followed throughout maintenance activities. Ensures that the required periodic inspections and audits of the implementation and effectiveness of the local energy isolation program are conducted. Ensures the training of Affected (Unauthorized) Persons to ensure a basic understanding of the dangers associated with hazardous energy and the importance of not tampering with energy isolation devices Ensures every individual performing work that could be exposed to hazardous energy is protected by their own unique keyed personal lock. Conduct regular inspections of lockout/tagout processes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA or local regulations). Work with maintenance/commissioning teams to identify and assess the energy sources on machinery or systems. Maintain accurate records of energy isolation points on equipment and systems, ensuring that all personnel are aware of potential energy risks Qualifications Professional Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial or Process Engineering. 10+ years of construction experience on multi-group, multi-disciplinary, projects; mission critical facility Knowledgeable in major regulations, industry codes and standards as well as construction materials, means, and methods. Strong experience with the operation and maintenance of building electrical systems (Power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, security, life safety, and controls systems). Established understanding of electrical theory and practical application via your maintenance & operation of critical electrical equipment. (Paralleling switchgear, redundant UPS systems, DC battery strings, multi-source electrical utility switchgear, standby diesel generators, etc.) Knowledge of construction techniques, terminology, and documentation - Ability to interpret Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), construction drawings etc Understanding of the Indonesian Electrical Code. Construction training - OSHA 30 or equivalent training Practical experience with building management system and automation, controls & frameworks; familiar with MS Dynamic 365 (Compass Tool). Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills. Understand the requirement on NFPA 70A Language - English Proficiency, Indonesian Preferred.
