Are you an experienced property professional with working knowledge of energy efficiency initiatives and able to operate strategically, thinking of the longer term and bigger picture?
We have an exciting opportunity for an Energy Performance Manager to join our growing Assets Team. Reporting into the Asset Manager, this new role will be integral to planning and influencing how we decarbonise our homes and implement energy efficiency plans, including meeting key milestones such as reaching EPC C for all of our homes by 2030. You’ll also be responsible for managing our communal energy supplies, solar PV and heat network portfolio. It goes without saying you’ll need to operate commercially, always considering value for money so we get the best deal for both the organisation and our customers.
This role will act as the subject matter expert in energy efficiency for our assets, therefore having great influence over how whg shapes it energy efficiency strategy. You’ll work collaboratively with a range of teams within whg, including advising senior management and the Executive, and also build and maintain strong relationships with relevant external parties.
We’ll need you to have a relevant degree level professional qualification or be qualified by experience, as well as having extensive knowledge of energy and sustainability matters (including relevant legislation and guidance) in relation to assets in the social housing sector.
So what’s in it for you? We offer a competitive salary, generous annual leave allowance (plus Christmas shut down), a local government pensions scheme, health cash plan, a range of shopping and leisure discounts and much, much, more. It also offers you the opportunity to be involved in a social business that has a clear set of values and objectives that are all about supporting people. And our inclusive culture and market-leading professional development opportunities have seen us achieve a Sunday Times ‘Best place to work’ award for 2024.
