Description Primary Objectives of the Position: This position sells, distributes and markets all energy related products including bulk refined fuels, propane, lube oil, and all respective supporting parts and equipment. Assists the energy department with inventory management, cooperative efficiencies, and operational tasks providing a high level of customer service. Communicates with patrons and employees in a manner that will create support and loyalty for Central United Cooperative. Major Areas of Accountability: Helps establish and implement sound business and marketing solutions with customers in order to meet and exceed customer expectations and company profit goals. Makes recommendations to customers that are environmentally and economically correct for energy customers’ operation. Develops and maintains the customer business relationship for all business units of Central United Cooperative. Set up customer sales calls and keep in regular contact with the customer base. Resolves customer complaints quickly and fairly in accordance with company policies. Refers unusual situations to VP of Energy and/or General Manager. Help maintain all energy inventories using proper procurement procedures. Work with the energy department team as well as patrons to create efficient properly sized storage at all levels. Complies with all laws and regulations that apply to the energy industry. Adheres to, and enforces, company credit policy. Perform other duties as assigned by VP of Energy. Other: Must be in good physical condition capable of lifting, carrying and pushing weights up to 50 pounds and have full use of both arms and legs and both hands. Must have and maintain a Class D driver’s license and be an insurable driver. Must attend all educational training required by law. Must comply with all safety regulations and policies of the company. Basic Qualifications: Post-secondary education at the college or vocational level. Experience may be substituted for post-secondary education. Experience with Microsoft Office computer programs. Knowledge about energy department products and services. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide range of customers, both internal and external. Energetic, detailed oriented, able to adhere to deadlines in a timely manner. Value-Added Qualifications: Two plus years’ experience in a business management or sales role. Cooperative experience and/or an agricultural background is desired. Salary: $70,000-$85,000 While a salary range has been established for this role, the final compensation package will be tailored to the individual's level of experience and expertise.
