Description
Energy Specialist The Office of Energy and Environment within the Ohio Department of Development is presently hiring for an Energy Specialist to join a team of dedicated individuals who help drive Ohio's energy future through innovation, efficiency, and community impact. What you’ll do: Delivering expert guidance on energy efficiency, distributed energy, and advanced energy technologies. Supporting and implementing state and federal energy programs. Conducting technical reviews of energy projects and evaluating their impact on energy use, emissions, and productivity. Monitoring and evaluating grant-funded projects, including on-site inspections and compliance reviews. Developing and maintaining program guidelines, technical standards, and training materials. Preparing proposals and reports for internal and external stakeholders, including federal agencies. Representing the department at meetings, conferences, and training sessions. Providing high-quality customer service and fostering collaborative relationships with partners and stakeholders. -Completion of undergraduate core program in assigned engineering area (e.g., mechanical, chemical) to include physics & chemistry. -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
Responsibilities
