SUMMARY:

Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer II to join our Energy Storage and Solutions Group to provide electrical technical support throughout the entire construction project. Strong communication skills are necessary as you will interact with staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment. Your ability to remain flexible, inventive, dedicated, and efficient with a high level of integrity and confidentiality is vital to your success in this role.
Travel-50% or 100% on Rotation
Locations Include: Colorado, New Mexico, California, and Arizona

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum three years in electrical construction management or electrical design
  • Utility experience preferred
  • This is a traveling field position
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Detail orientation sufficient to organize and run multiple project tasks
  • Possess basic understanding of construction law, generally accepted business practices, construction techniques, and project management practices
  • Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level
  • Positive professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
  • Interpret and communicate Mortenson policies effectively
  • Open to change based on diverse input and feedback
  • Effectively work with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
  • Strong cross-cultural relationship building and influencing at all organizational levels
  • Consistent record of including diverse team members when assigning challenging and high-profile tasks
  • Working knowledge of NEC code and NE safety code a plus
  • Current driver’s license
