We are committed to pioneering innovative solutions, enabling cutting-edge technologies, and advancing a cleaner, and more resilient and secure world. We are hiring creative, motivated, and talented people with a passion for doing what's right, what's smart, and what works.   Description/Job Summary Lindahl Reed is hiring an Energy Technician to assist the MCBH Energy Manager (EM) and Public Works Office to achieve a robust energy management program through accomplishing actions/projects by adhering to energy laws, regulations, policies, directives, and goals.  The Energy Technician will support the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Program, including utility meter reading, data collection, and utility data analysis.  The Energy Technician will also assist with the implementation of actions/projects in support of utility accounting, energy projects, and facility maintenance, repair, and construction activities, as well as other activities to ensure that energy efficiency measures and water conservation measures are incorporated into all actions, as directed.    Position Responsibilities * Conduct field trips to collect water and electrical meter readings. * Collect meter readings: Meter readings are normally required/collected during the last week of each month. * Take photographs of the meters and provide them to the government. * Report any non-working meters that are identified during the collection of meter readings. * Prepare and input water and electrical meter readings into Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets. * Retrieve electrical meter readings from AMI server, convert readings and import into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. * Prepare and submit other documents as requested to answer meter data inquiries. * Assist with reviewing spreadsheets, advanced meter data, utility billing databases, and provide expertise to identify and help correct anomalies in facility energy use. * Provide assistance with tenant utility reimbursement. * Provide assistance with energy reporting. * Assist with other installation-specific requirements, as requested. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: * Level 1 Energy Technician- High school diploma or an energy technical certification and 0 years of experience. * Valid driver's license. * Must be willing to work inconsistent schedule (Up to 40 hours one week per month, 13 t0 21 hours other weeks). * Must be comfortable with bending, stooping down, kneeling, working outdoors, and dealing with various insects, geckos, etc. found in meter boxes.   Benefits: Part time roles working less than 20 hours per week are not eligible for company provided benefits.   All positions require a background check after acceptance of our offer.
