    An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Revenues, Benefits & Welfare Service. We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Enforcement Agent to be part of our in-house Enforcement Team, Stockton Collections.
    Ideally you will be Court certificated, however if you are the right person for the job we will be prepared to put you through the Court certification process and provide any necessary training.
    Candidates need to be confident, disciplined and professional and enjoy working in a sometimes challenging environment. In this role you will be required to visit customers in their homes and businesses primarily for the purposes of collecting outstanding monies due to the Council. You will be required to demonstrate effective persuasion and strong negotiation skills to assist in the successful collection of outstanding debt. In addition, you will also be required to establish the customer’s financial situation, collate information and also assess whether a customer may be vulnerable.
    Working on your own initiative conforming to strict Council and legislative guidelines, you will need excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability be tenacious but also empathetic.

    Disclosure: This post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and in addition, completion of a declaration which confirms that you do not have any outstanding County Court Judgements (CCJs), a Criminal Record and that you have not been subject to debt relief or bankruptcy in the last 5 years.
    A full driving licence will be required as you will need to be able to drive between the homes and businesses you are visiting.
