Description
Purpose of position The Enforcement Data Engineer will contribute to the success of the Enforcement Team by providing strategic and specialist advice in relation to the optimisation of core infringement processes to drive continuous improvement within Operations to improve efficiency and cost. The role with require the incumbent to facilitate and identify enforcement reform opportunities using automated data extraction, ingestion and loading to streamline infringement processes delivering impactful change aligned with strategic priorities. The Enforcement Team manage enquiries of a highly sensitive nature, so the incumbent is required to have a strong understanding of the business privacy requirements and apply accordingly. Key accountabilities Robotic process automation and AI Support the Enforcement Manager in identifying opportunities to deploy RPA/AI-driven automation solutions that simplify processes, enhance operational efficiency and improve customer outcomes Lead the creation and deployment of internal RPA/AI agents to automate infringement-related processes across the full enforcement lifecycle. Data Extraction Worked with internal systems (Salesforce, Yellowfin, Securedocs) to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data into a user interface to support process improvement initiatives. Built and optimized data and ETL pipelines to enhance operational efficiency and streamline business processes. Issue Management Collaborate with key stakeholders to address enforcement challenges swiftly and effectively. Support the Operations leadership team in the analysis and remediation of identified data issues through sustainable solutions that prevent recurrence Data Analytics Support the ingestion and processing of structured and unstructured data across batch processes Continuously monitor enforcement performance metrics – including volumes and camera automation rates using AI-powered analytics where possible to generate actionable insights Develop and make recommendations for improvements of infringement business processes based on sound research and analysis Governance and Compliance Ensure that process improvements align with regulatory requirements relating to infringement and that risks are considered and managed appropriately Maintain process documentation in line with company standards and ensure updates reflect the latest changes Teamwork Participate in and contribute to team meetings, workshops and development programmes. Provide support and advice to team members and wider members of the business as required. Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Support workplace safety and abide by relevant HSE Policies, procedures and instructions. Report hazards, near misses, incidents and injuries and seek advice on safe work practices. Position complexities As the business develops, the position will continue to evolve, and the incumbent will be expected to adopt a flexible approach to work requirements and to undertake new or alternative duties as required. This may include new technology usage, new work procedures and customer service delivery systems. The position has a high degree of complexity as the incumbent is required to utilise personal attributes, skills developed, knowledge and experience of the business and often calls upon the incumbent’s excellent high-level communication skills. The position operates within a specialist environment and the incumbent is required to use initiative and judgment in contributing towards the development and implementation of plans, policies and practices in the Enforcement space. The issues arising will be wide ranging and often be of a sensitive nature. The position will be made aware of information that will require a confidential approach to work undertaken.
