Description
About us At Dyson, we believe in the relentless pursuit of improvement, raising the bar and achieving new heights. We’ve spent decades pioneering inventions and continually improving. It’s about inventing the future. Our philosophy remains the same as it was when James Dyson invented the first cyclonic vacuum cleaner. We remain family owned. We plot our path, unshackled from conventional thinking. At Dyson, we constantly strive to find pioneering ways to solve everyday problems. About the role In this role, based in Singapore, you will report to the Global Internal Communications Director, in a team that defines how we communicate and engage with our employees across the world. You will be joining at a pivotal time as we look to refocus and grow our internal communications agenda, initiatives and integration with the business and leadership. As Engagement and Events Senior Manager/Manager, you will help to manage Dyson’s internal engagement agenda for our employees around the world. You will work with the Global Internal Communications Director to develop a plan that energises and excites our people and connects them to our senior leaders, to what’s going on around the company and brings our strategy and employee experience to life. You are a creative thinker and organised doer, strong on project management, problem solving, managing moving deadlines and comfortable and confident in dealing with senior leaders. You will set standards and best practice for how we manage engagement initiatives and events. Key responsibilities Partner with the Global Internal Communications Director to develop, drive and execute a global employee engagement and events strategy. Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of memorable internal events and engagement opportunities (e.g., town halls, leadership forums, senior leadership conferences, CEO engagement initiatives, celebrations etc) for Dyson offices worldwide. Create and deliver innovative engagement programmes that connect employees to Dyson’s mission, vision and strategy. Support senior business leaders in building authentic connections with employees. Set and maintain standards of excellence and best practice for planning, executing, and evaluating employee engagement activities and events. Oversee project management for multiple, concurrent events and initiatives, ensuring delivery to scope, budget, and timeline. Collaborate across functions, business units, and geographies to align engagement activities to business priorities and ensure a consistent employee experience. Monitor engagement metrics and feedback to continually improve impact and success of engagement initiatives. Manage relationships with third-party suppliers, agencies, and venue partners as needed. Anticipate potential risks and challenges in project delivery and proactively develop solutions. About you At least 8 years of relevant experience in an internal or employee communications or relevant events role, ideally in a global business. Proven track record designing and delivering events and engagement initiatives. Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a strong ability to influence and partner at all levels, including C-suite. Strong project management and vendor management skills, and experience manageable large-scale events. Proven track record dealing with short deadlines and working in high pressure situations to drive outcomes in the best interest of the company. An understanding of running hybrid events and the need to engage remote audiences as well as those in the room. A sound understanding of the technology solutions, systems and tools needed to run events smoothly and professionally. Creative thinker who strives for continuous improvement, innovation and quality. Is proactive and has a ‘get things done’ attitude with high levels of resilience and drive, able to see the strategic big picture but also to roll sleeves up and get into the detail. Energetic, engaging with ability to motivate and inspire in a matrixed environment. Assertive, decisive and prepared to see through plans - and yet flexible around change and comfortable with ambiguity, a quick and agile learner. Willingness and ability to travel internationally where required. Dyson is an equal opportunity employer. We know that great minds don’t think alike, and it takes all kinds of minds to make our technology so unique. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and employment decisions are made without regard to race, colour, religion, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, protected veteran status or other any other dimension of diversity. At Dyson we are focused on solving the problems that others have ignored; solving them first using our technology and ingenuity. In order to achieve this we need to pioneer technologies that are different and authentic. This is the core of what we do and who we are. We must strive to create the future, every single day by developing new things, different things, things that go against the grain with a diverse and global team of ingenious minds. Dyson employs 14,000 people and is present in more than 80 countries. And while we are growing fast we want Dyson to remain a start-up in spirit with the freedom of experimentation and learning, constantly reinventing our products as well as reinventing how we work, how we sell and how we support our owners. At the same time we are working through the James Dyson Foundation, James Dyson Award and Dyson Institute to inspire future engineers and pioneering a new approach to engineering education. Underlining everything we do in this diverse environment is the need to always show respect, supporting each other as one team to overcome whatever challenges we encounter. We drive empowerment, development and equality in an inclusive environment for our people around the world.
