The Engagement and Partnership Specialist will support the Engagement and Partnership Manager in monitoring and delivering workforce renewal strategies. They will help to translate strategic workforce planning data, business needs and external data to update and monitor workforce renewal plans.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AS AN ENGAGEMENT AND PARTNERSHIP SPECIALIST

  • Build relationships across the Skills & Emerging Talent, Resourcing, EDI, and L&D teams to maintain an understanding of their offer and coordinate activities linked to workforce renewal strategies
  • Engage with hiring managers across the business to help them understand the rationale and processes behind workforce initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal and external communications teams to effectively disseminate information and promote initiatives
  • Build relationships with specialist organisations in relation to the EDI agenda
  • Maintain and coordinate a high-level roadmap for workforce renewal
  • Monitor workforce renewal plans to ensure they remain aligned with business priorities, local labour market data, skills, resourcing, EDI (Equity, Diversity and Inclusion), and learning strategies
  • Work with leaders, EDI central teams, and Employee Resource Groups to drive, support, and help deliver priorities within the EDI strategy from a project coordination perspective
  • Suggest tailored solutions to the business understanding niche and unique requirements in relation to workforce renewals and EDI agenda. Consider options to tap into external funding, provision, or creating hybrid solutions
  • Help to coordinate communications across Emerging Talent and Skills, Resourcing, EDI, and L&D agendas. Work with internal and external communications teams to raise awareness, publicise activities, gain buy-in, and ensure colleagues at all levels understand the value of the offer

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Excellent ability and experience of communicating and influencing across the business and with stakeholders and partners to grow relationships and deliver results
  • Strong data analysis skills and ability to present information in a persuasive manner
  • Good understanding of workforce challenges and the external landscape
  • Proven ability in networking and relationship building, both internally and externally, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Good understanding and awareness of inclusion, social mobility and the external economic landscape
  • Knowledge of EDI strategies
  • Knowledge of workforce profiling data and how to translate this into action plans
  • Understanding of community engagement, learning & development, apprenticeships, employability and resourcing
