ABOUT THE JOB YOU’RE CONSIDERING
The Engagement Manager is one of the key roles on a project, as an engagement Manager you will be accountable and responsible for delivering against contracts, meeting (or exceeding) client expectations, achieving engagement Targets, identifying and actioning opportunities for additional business, and ensuring that the project management rules are followed on the engagement.
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
It is expected that Engagement Managers will have demonstrated successfully the following:
- Successful project management delivery experience from inception through the delivery lifecycle, to agreed cost, timescales and quality.
- Use of a formal project management methodology e.g. PRINCE.
- Experience of requirements identification, design, build and implementation.
- Experience of managing custom build and/or ERP/Package engagements (e.g. SAP, Oracle) through requirements definition, design, build, test and implementation.
- Effective management of distributed teams and differing cultures
Responsibilities:
- Ensure 100% Compliancy with UK UPM, UK Project Management Rules and UK Mandatory Requirements
- Delivering against the contract: Conversant with the contract, managing the contracts and the change control process.
- Overall responsibility for engagement success and achieving engagement targets e.g. margin (as defined in the Internal View) and delivering to agreed timescales.
- Management of the engagement through its lifecycle: Specifically, the project baseline, Risks and Issues in Pre project start-up, start-up, execution and closedown.
- Timely raising and effective management of Security and Data Protection Incidents and Breaches should they occur.
