Position Summary: The Engagement Manager (County Based) is responsible for successfully driving recruitment and retention strategies in the county(ies) assigned to facilitate the growth and sustainability of the council. She/he is responsible for providing training and resources to support onboarding, training and retention of volunteers at the service community and troop levels. This individual will actively support and engage service communities in their work to grow and champion Girl Scouts of Citrus and the Girl Scout Movement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Engagement & Program Troop Manager and Engagement Coordinators to design and implement a comprehensive plan for girl and adult membership growth in targeted areas by researching market data, membership trends, and other pertinent information relevant to designated geographic areas.
Works closely with service communities to implement strategies for the Spring Renewal and On-time Renewal campaigns.
Provide resources to service communities to facilitate parent and other informational meetings that increase the likelihood for conversion and retention.
Implement training materials for service community teams, ensuring content is engaging, informative, and aligned with organizational goals.
Develop and implement strategies to support and guide new co-leaders through their first year with Girl Scouts, ensuring a positive onboarding experience and fostering long-term engagement and success.
Implement systems for maintaining records of all adult operational volunteers such as position descriptions, appointment letters, performance reviews, learning opportunities, and special assignments.
Supports service communities and troops in the areas of financial assistance, troop disbandment and creates new troops for recruitment seasons.
Manages the utilization of customer relationship management system (Salesforce) to support the conversion of girls and adults into members and volunteers.
Seeks opportunities and keeps in contact with community organizations,
agencies and leaders, educators, and faith-based institutions in assigned jurisdiction to increase awareness of and participation in Girl Scouting for space needs, Product Program, events, etc..
Works cross functionally to ensure council goals are met. Promotes and assists with council wide programs, activities, public relations and fund development.
Education & Experience
Associate’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
Knowledge of Girl Scouts of Citrus and GSUSA policies and procedures.
Knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, and project management systems.
Minimum two years of experience supporting senior level management.
Skills & Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Power Point, Word, and Excel.
Proficient in Salesforce, Looker and other software platforms.
Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish and English).
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
Travel throughout council jurisdiction, up to 25% of the time.
Valid driver’s license, use of a personal vehicle and proof of current vehicle insurance.
Register annually for a GSUSA membership and have a favorable Level 2 criminal background check.
Skills in planning and organization of projects, deadlines, and meetings.
Excellent oral and written communication.
Ability to work in a team environment and as part of the Executive Team.
Ability to maintain accurate and confidential records by maintaining discretion on sensitive matters in the Executive Office.
Ability to provide positive customer service to both internal and external customers.
