1. CONSULTING EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience managing consultancy projects across the entire

project lifecycle, particularly within the education or EdTech sector.

  • Strong background in leading product development processes,

including strategy definition and exe

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, ensuring alignment and

effective service delivery.

  • Track record of identifying and capitalizing on new business

opportunities to expand service offerings.

  • Expertise in developing and presenting compelling sales proposals to

János holds a Master of Research (MRes) in Modelling Biological Complexity
from University College London and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Molecular
Bionics from Pázmány Péter Catholic University. His career began in academic
research, where he contributed to advancements in computational neuroscience
and cancer treatment strategies at institutions such as UCL, Semmelweis
University, and Oncompass. In 2016, János joined the Milestone Institute, quickly
progressing in his roles, including Programme Director, Deputy Head, and
eventually Head of Teaching and Learning.
Since 2022, he has been driving education consultancy at Solutions Lab, the
Milestone Institute’s consultancy arm, specializing in strategic transformation,
digital innovation, and tailored educational solutions. Now serving as Managing
Partner, János leverages his deep expertise in research, innovation, and
leadership to guide organizations toward impactful and sustainable change in

Engagement Manager, Education Innovation
Solutions Lab

JOB PURPOSE

The Engagement Manager role at Solutions Lab centers on driving innovative
consultancy and product development within the education sector, while
contributing to business development and team operations. As a pivotal member
of the team, you will manage the delivery of client projects, lead the continuous
development of Solutions Lab’s product and service offerings, and foster client
relationships to position the organization as a trusted partner in education
transformation.
Responsibilities

Consulting and Client Delivery

  • Lead the full lifecycle of consultancy projects – from initiation to closure –,

ensuring scope, timeline, budget, and resource plans are aligned with client

needs and under the strategic guidance of the Partner.

  • Define, plan, and execute consultancy tasks, including business analysis to

understand client challenges and craft tailored solutions.

  • Develop high-impact consultancy content (insights, recommendations,

reports, and presentations) together with experts, analysts, and Solutions

Lab colleagues, ensuring final deliverables meet the highest standards.

  • Oversee the work of junior consultants and analysts, mentoring them in

delivering innovative business solutions.

  • Foster strong communication with clients, project partners, and

subcontractors, ensuring alignment and excellence in service delivery.

  • Monitor subcontractor performance, maintaining rigorous quality control

over all deliverables.

  • Provide strategic support to the Partner by offering insights on client

expectations, project subject matter, progress, and stakeholder

engagement.

  • Champion the growth of Solutions Lab’s reputation as a leading education

consultancy in Hungary and internationally.

Innovation and Product Development

  • Drive the continuous evolution of Solutions Lab’s service and product

portfolio by monitoring industry trends, best practices, and emerging

technologies.

  • Manage the full product development cycle – from strategy and

roadmapping to prototyping, piloting, and launch –, in close collaboration

with the Chief Product Officer.

  • Oversee resource allocation and budgets for product development,

ensuring delivery against KPIs and business objectives.

  • Contribute market insights and competitor analysis to refine the product

development strategy and support knowledge management across the

organization.

  • Cultivate a culture of innovation and a strong product mindset throughout

the Solutions Lab team.

Business Development and Sales

  • Strengthen client retention by building trusted, advisory-level relationships

where Solutions Lab is positioned as a thought leader.

  • Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities by aligning client

needs with new and existing products and services.

  • Lead the development and delivery of compelling sales pitches, proposals,

and presentations, working closely with the Chief Business Development

Officer and senior colleagues.

  • Manage sales pipelines with discipline, ensuring administration, tracking,

and analysis of opportunities to achieve KPIs and revenue targets.

  • Represent Solutions Lab and Milestone’s brand at external events,

meetings, and industry platforms, upholding the highest standards.

  • Support brand awareness efforts, marketing campaigns, and international

visibility initiatives to enhance Solutions Lab’s market presence.

  • Partner with the Chief Business Development Officer in driving strategic

partnerships and alliances that expand sales potential.

Team Operations and Leadership

  • Lead the recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and development of junior

team members, under the direction of the Director of Solutions Lab.

  • Foster a high-performance team culture through continuous feedback,

coaching, and support for personal development goals.

  • Provide leadership insights and recommendations to senior management

on team performance, structure, and growth opportunities.

  • Together with senior leaders, promote Solutions Lab’s impact within

Milestone’s broader community — including faculty, alumni, students,
