ABOUT YOU

You’re a proactive, organised and community-minded professional who thrives in a busy environment where priorities can shift and variety is part of the day. You’ll bring a proven background in administration, strong attention to detail and the confidence to manage competing demands.

You will also bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in senior administrative coordination within a large or complex organisation
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including volunteers and partner agencies
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple tasks and deadlines
  • A collaborative mindset, but also the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with creative tools such as Canva and Miro
  • A genuine interest in community engagement and safety, with the enthusiasm to contribute to projects that make a difference

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Team Leader, Community Engagement Strategic Programs, this full time, ongoing vacancy provides high-level administrative coordination and project support to CFA’s Community Engagement team. You’ll be part of a well-established and supportive group with a strong culture of collaboration and achieving real outcomes for our communities.
No two days will be the same, as the Engagement Support Officer, you will manage multiple inboxes, triage and direct requests across regions, support various projects, programs and reporting requirements and coordinate meetings and events throughout the year.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating administrative tasks across multiple teams
  • Managing inboxes and community enquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses
  • Preparing reports, presentations, and documentation for meetings and projects
  • Providing secretariat support including agenda preparation, minute taking, and action tracking
  • Supporting project work such as stakeholder mapping, resource planning, and drafting content
  • Using tools such as MS Office, Canva, Miro and PowerPoint to create high-quality materials
  • Liaising with suppliers and responding to queries
