Work Environment: Hybrid (three days in-office) Location: Pittsburgh, PA Position Summary / What You’ll Do As a Land Development Engineer, you’ll perform engineering design and permitting tasks for energy, industrial, commercial, and residential development projects. You’ll support senior engineers and project managers on a variety of assignments, from technical design to field activities, helping deliver projects that shape local communities. Responsibilities / Day-to-Day - Perform engineering design for land development projects, including stormwater management, erosion and sediment control design, and NPDES permitting. - Support field activities, material testing, permit applications, and technical report writing. - Gather data and conduct research on applicable regulations. - Prepare engineering deliverables under supervision. - Observe construction activities and document findings. - Manage personal tasks, meeting deadlines and scope requirements. - Collaborate with project team members and contribute to effective communication. Qualifications Required - Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology. - 0–5 years of relevant experience. - Strong technical, design, and writing skills. - Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Office, and stormwater design programs (Hydraflow and/or HydroCAD). - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Preferred - EIT certification.
