Description
The IT Network Engineer is responsible for maintaining and building upon the current network infrastructure of LRS. Reports To Infrastructure Manager * Manage and monitor all network installations, including configuration, testing, and maintenance. * Proactively identify potential issues and implement solutions. * Collaborates with other professionals to ensure high quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures. * Visit LRS locations to troubleshoot network issues and manage network-related projects. * Work closely with Sr Network Engineer on all areas of the network. Qualifications * At least 1-4 years full time professional experience supporting the following: network, switches, firewall, routers, wireless access points. * Solid firewall experience, preferably in Palo Alto. * Experience with controller managed hardware (Ubiquiti) * Working knowledge of different routing protocols * Experience with subnets and VLAN. * Network experience (OSI network layers, TCP/IP) * Some experience with SD-WAN a plus * Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools like Wire Shark and Putty, TCP/IP concepts, VLANs, Wireless Networking technologies and security, VPN, Identity Access Management, VOIP concepts * Experience supporting conferencing and video conferencing solutions; Teams. * Ability to support and resolve a wide range of daily technical issues; eagerness to investigate and learn new technologies. * Extremely well-developed organizational, time management, and analytical skills. * Dependable and reliable with a strong improvement focus. * A thoughtful team player who can work independently. * Strong attention to detail, documentation, communication skills and follow-through. * Ability to work off-hours as needed for IT projects. * Ability to keep up to date with the latest tech innovations. * Ability to work effectively under pressure. * Capable of training Help Desk staff on new technologies implemented.
