About this Role We are seeking an experienced Engineer 2nd Line to lead operational excellence for OSS provisioning systems within a complex, multi-vendor environment. The individual will administer and optimise critical OSS applications, drive advanced troubleshooting and automation initiatives, and contribute to the seamless integration and rollout of new technologies. This role requires strong technical depth, cross-functional collaboration, ITIL-aligned operational practices, and the ability to guide and support less experienced colleagues. What you will do Administer, maintain, and optimise provisioning and monitoring platforms, as well as critical OSS applications. Lead advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implement long-term preventative solutions. Develop and support automated monitoring capabilities and incident detection systems. Drive process improvement initiatives, configuration management, and technical project delivery. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers while maintaining a collaborative working environment. Coordinate with 3rd party vendors to resolve complex technical issues. Engage proactively with technical teams, NOC engineers, and Service Delivery functions. Apply strong knowledge of Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes (INM, PRM, SRM).Manage ticketing systems, auto-routing procedures, and ensure accurate operational documentation. Maintain compliance with ITIL-aligned practices, service standards, security requirements, and release governance. Support effective service delivery through proactive monitoring, stakeholder communication, SLA alignment, and coordinated escalation handling. Who you are University degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, IT, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum 3 years’ experience in server or application operations and maintenance. Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience with Linux OS and database operations. Proficiency in programming or scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) and practical experience with containerisation technologies. Advanced Oracle database administration and troubleshooting skills. Strong knowledge of telecom protocols, application/database administration, and OSS environments. Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and virtualisation technologies (VMware vSphere/ESX, Microsoft Azure). Proficiency in automation strategies for network operations. Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills with fluency in English.
