JOB DESCRIPTION
DUTIES: Test and validate mobile device architecture for Android and iOS devices based on Qualcomm, Mediatek, and Samsung (Exynos) chipsets, and including the following original equipment manufacturer (OEM) devices: Samsung, Motorola, Apple iPhone, and Google Pixel; use device manufacturer and chipset debugging tools including QXDM, QCAT, ELT, Android Debug Logs, Accuver, and Shanon; work with wireless technologies, including 5G SA (RRC and NAS layers), NSA, 4G, IMS, Dual Sim, Wi-Fi, and geofences; develop protocol level test plans for field and lab tests; perform log parsing on QXDM, QCAT, and ELT (MTK) toolsets; use channel emulators, including Keysight PCAT 5G toolset, Spirent GPS route simulator, and RF attenuation in Octobox, to simulate RF conditions, test cases, and GPS routes for device testing; design new software, support applications under development, design the prototype application and customize current applications; assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll-outs of software releases; build native mobile applications with an understanding of accessibility, localization, and offline needs; create, maintain, and implement the source code that makes up the application or program; develop and conduct routine maintenance on code to validate front-end, middleware, and database systems; communicate with others to repair broken automation scripts and ensure delivery of quality solutions; conduct testing, releasing and support of the application; research and analyze technical references to obtain knowledge and gain exposure on the latest developments in technology; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software design evaluation plans, test results, and technical documentation; and work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience testing and validating mobile device architecture for Android and iOS devices based on Qualcomm, Mediatek, and Samsung (Exynos) chipsets, and including the following original equipment manufacturer (OEM) devices: Samsung, Motorola, and Google Pixel; using device manufacturer and chipset debugging tools including QXDM, QCAT, ELT, Android Debug Logs, and Shanon; working with wireless technologies, including 5G SA (RRC and NAS layers), NSA, 4G, IMS, Dual Sim, Wi-Fi, and geofences; developing protocol level test plans for field and lab tests; performing log parsing on QXDM, QCAT, and ELT (MTK) toolsets; of which one (1) year includes testing and validating mobile device architecture on Apple iPhone OEM devices; using Accuver; and using channel emulators, including Keysight PCAT 5G toolset, Spirent GPS route simulator, and RF attenuation in Octobox, to simulate RF conditions, test cases, and GPS routes for device testing.
