The Role Fantastic opportunity for an Acoustic Consultant to join our Melbourne team, with potential to work in all areas of building acoustics, environmental, noise and vibration. Our continued recruitment is driven by a large, diverse and exciting pipeline of projects at all scales, including: •    The largest and most complex transportation infrastructure projects (road and rail) to transform our cities and connect our Country. •    Advisory roles for major projects at civilian and defence airports. •    Renewable power generation (wind, solar) as well as Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) on the scale of towns and cities, to enable the renewable transition. •    Environment projects in the healthcare, education, cultural and mixed use sectors, contributing importantly to how we live, learn and enjoy time in our cities.   Key responsibilities Provision of acoustic consultancy services in support of the technical and commercial needs of the business More specifically, this role will see you responsible for the following: •    Collaborative working within WSP’s multidisciplinary teams, including the largest and most complex projects in Australia in our secured national project pipeline. •    Carry out environmental acoustics and vibration investigations, including noise and vibration impact assessments, monitoring, site inspections, mitigation and management.  •    Beginning to build relationships with internal and external clients.  •    Completing noise predictions using specialised acoustic models and software and analysing and processing data. •    Preparing technical reports for review. •    Coaching and mentoring more junior staff – contributing to the future of our industry •    Seeking opportunities to work fluidly across environmental acoustics and building acoustics projects, if that is what drives you. About You * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or Equivalent. * Full driving license. * 1 to 4 years of experience in Acoustics, Noise and/or Vibration.  * Demonstrated technical skills across a broad range of areas within the discipline. * Experience in the use of various Acoustics software (SoundPlan, CadnaA or equivalent), proficiency with mapping software (QGIS, AutoCad or equivalent). * Ability to prepare technical reports on small to medium projects. * Experience leading small projects within the discipline. Developing experience in monitoring and managing the scope of multiple varying size projects and applying business systems. * Ability to write winning proposals and win jobs. * Experience in applying legislation, standards, guidelines and project specifications. * Skilled in identify risk in small to medium profile projects. * Strong stakeholder skills and experience in managing client relations and expectations. * Confident in sharing professional knowledge to coach and develop the technical capability of junior staff.   Imagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.
