SUMMARY

As an Aero-Acoustic Engineer, residing in Ontario, Alberta or BC, you will be integral to the design-fabrication-installation teams of www.silentec.com built systems, used for gasflow-noise reduction- blast doors for industrial, aerospace, power gen and building HVAC applications. You will report to the principal engineer & director in Montreal, visit customers and work from home, remotely collaborating with the Silentec team in Silentec Montreal fabrication facility. Your role will leverage core skills in aero-acoustic computation, field measurements and design, while also utilizing skills in mechanical engineering, client communication and project management. Your expertise in analysis and aero-acoustics will support innovative solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and Master’s degree in acoustics and/or aerodynamics
  • Proficiency in computational and modeling softwares and aero-acoustic testing
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience with aero-acoustic systems design and testing
  • Experience with project management
  • Knowledge of data analysis and collection techniques

    Pay: $50,000.00-$110,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Aero-Acoustic performance & project engineer, for noise and gas flow solutions built in the Montreal fabrication shops of www.silentec.com. You will work from home, in daily contact with other Silentec employee. Also you will visit customers located closer to you, to put in place Silentec built solutions, namely in industrial & power generation plants, aircraft engine test facilities as well as buildings with noisy HVAC equipement.
  • Collaborate with Silentec team to design aero-acoustic systems, using field measurements and computational/modeling software and the database of prior Silentec projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project management including fabrication and installation.
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge and tools like AutoCAD and SolidWorks for schematics and design.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards.
