Come help us make learning better for everyone. We are looking for an Engineer to join our Android team, with experience developing exceptional and innovative Android applications. What You’ll Do Develop and implement a complex and high-performing native Android application Solve difficult technical problems with a cutting edge Android stack Participate in code reviews and conversations on software development best practices Communicate progress and risks to the team Build a product that our customers genuinely love! What You Need 1-2 years of experience developing, architecting, optimizing and shipping high performance Android applications written in Kotlin Strong computer science fundamentals and problem- solving skills Strong verbal and written communication & collaboration skills Passionate about solutions while humble in the face of opposing ideas Desire to embrace the way engineering is changing (more immutable data, functional patterns, etc.) while also being intensely pragmatic Experience with large Android codebases and complex, high-performance apps is a plus Experience with Jetpack compose is highly desirable For this position we are targeting a base pay between $120,000 - $175,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role follows a hybrid model, with a minimum of two days onsite at our downtown San Francisco office and flexibility to work remotely from home the rest of the week.
