Responsibilities:
Join us to support and optimise the performance and reliability of the Ausgrid network.
Reporting to the Customer Manager Industry and Commercial, the Major Connections Engineer will be managing and facilitating major asset relocation and large load connections to the Ausgrid network. The connections managed by the Major Connections team include sub transmission connections for major industrial, mining and emerging large load industries.
In this role you will be required to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver connection services to our customers that will empower the energy system transformation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Developing and documenting detailed connection requirements by engaging the expertise of multiple internal teams.
- Facilitating negotiation of required customer outcomes with internal and external stakeholders.
- Performing and coordinating review of detailed network augmentation design and power system model submissions made by external parties.
- Building financial estimates provided to proponents for network connection services.
- Providing design and engineering support throughout project construction phases.
- Minimisation of safety hazards within the resultant design solutions through the consideration of safety throughout the design process.
