WHAT WE DO.

This particular role is at our Bakkavor Spalding site, which employs over 1,470 people across 3 manufacturing facilities & 1 Distribution Centre. We specialise in making hand crafted sandwich wraps, salads, dips, soups & sauces and mayonnaise.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Conduct planned and predictive maintenance of processing and packaging assets
• Respond to breakdowns
• Identify faults (electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, automation, and pneumatics) and action as required
• Lead or support operational teams with machinery change overs and set ups
• Manufacture and repair component parts for machinery
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects to optimise assets or processes
• Ensure that all H&S procedures, engineering best practice are adhered to at all times
• Accurate & timely records are entered and recorded on all work carried out, root causes of failures and of spares/consumables used

Working at our Melas site based in Spalding, the successful candidate will have previous electrical and mechanical experience within manufacturing and a solid background in Health & Safety. You will be competent in electrical fault finding and analysis and provide engineering support to production to ensure the efficient performance of all equipment.
