Description
1. Provides domain knowledge during pre-purchase of all biomedical equipment.   1. Performs initial inspection, applies inventory procedures and identity marking for all new equipment prior to use.  2. Provides technical assistance, training and instruction to staff in the maintenance, operation and use of equipment. 3. Ensures preventive maintenance of all equipment is completed as scedueled. 4. Maintains and updates inventory of all biomedical equipments and collects monitoring data for the equipment Management Program. 5. Responds to requests for maintenance and repair for all biomedical equipments. 6. Provides technical advice to ensure compliance with Electrical and other safety standards. 7. Coordinates and evaluates work performed in accordance with established service and maintenance contracts and prepares annual vendor feedback for Facility Management and Safety Committee. 8. Maintains record of all maintenance, inspections and repairs for all biomedical equipment. 9. Collaborates with Facility Management and Safety Teams to conduct safety and risk assessment, and develops measures to counter them. 10. Serves as member of Facility Management and Safety Committee. 11. Prepares requisitions for procurement of repair parts from hospital stores and commercial vendors. 12. Develops and coordinates departmental quality initiatives. 13. Adheres to NMC Royall Women’s Hospital patient and staff safety rules. 14. Responsible for ensuring all routine checklists are completed on time. 15. Demonstrates ability to perform under pressure. 16. Participates in/initiates quality Improvements within the Department to continuously improve education or services.   2. Attend seminars,workshops,inservices and vendor supplied training.   1. Adheres to OSHMS standards regarding employee health and safety. 2. Performs other duties as required within scope of training and abilities.
