Company Description Bosch Home Comfort India Limited Job Description What you will do: We are seeking a Mid-Level Embedded Software Testing Engineer with hardware knowledge to join our Engineering Product Quality team. The role involves testing embedded systems, preparing and managing hardware setups, and ensuring product quality through systematic validation and verification processes. How you will do it: • Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for embedded software. • Perform functional, regression, integration, and system-level testing. • Debug and analyze issues in embedded systems, collaborating with developers to resolve. • Knowledge of electronic components, microprocessors, and PCBA characteristics • Prepare, configure, and maintain hardware test benches and setups (boards, modules, SIT Setup). • Work with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools. • Interface with microcontrollers, sensors, and communication protocols (Modbus, UART, SPI, I2C, etc). • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for defects. • Experience with test management, version control, and bug tracking tools (JIRA, GitHub) • Define and execute test strategies for embedded software and firmware. • Plan, prepare, and execute functional, non-functional, integration, regression, and white-box testing. • Drive defect logging, reporting, verification, and validation processes. • Prepare test plans, test matrices, and execution reports. What we look for: Required: ⚫ 5–6 years in System Integration Testing (SIT) for new product development ⚫ Strong background in IoT, embedded software, and firmware testing ⚫ Experience in large-scale embedded project testing and validation ⚫ In-depth knowledge of microprocessors and their peripherals Preferred ⚫ Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methodologies and automation frameworks ⚫ Proven experience in product development and testing management, with the ability to lead testing and drive project execution ⚫ Strong verbal and written communication skills across technical and non-technical teams ⚫ Embedded hardware knowledge and experience in refrigeration and air conditioning system Qualifications BE in Electronics & Communication / Electrical or Computer Science Engineering
