Engineer Co-Op Job Description Position Title: Engineering Intern Mission: Gain hands-on experience in process engineering by supporting machining and assembly operations, while contributing to productivity, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities * Assist with improving current manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and safety while supporting customer needs. * Document process improvements, communicate updates, and support training initiatives. * Analyze best practices, participate in problem-solving activities, and help develop optimized manufacturing processes to achieve plant goals. * Contribute to process control systems, project documentation, standard work instructions, and equipment/tooling initiatives. * Partner with the process engineering team on productivity improvement projects and special assignments. * Support engineering change processes including quoting, implementation, launch, and shop-floor support. * Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on customer corrective actions. * Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to meet department needs. Academic & Experience Requirements * Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering. * Must be in junior year or earlier with at least one year remaining before graduation. Students must be able to commit to a long-term internship (minimum 12 months) * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Familiarity with AutoCAD, PFMEA, Lean Manufacturing principles, and Microsoft Office Suite. Working Hours * Preferred hours: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Flexible to align with student schedules) * Minimum 25 hours/week, up to 40 hours/week.
