Position Location This position will be located onsite in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Salary Range: $65,000-$85,000. Job Overview Working with NIWC Pacific Engineer, Computer 1, will provide engineering & support services. Services required include AV design and installation of space operations centers fusing mission systems and ops center workstations in a manner that provides quick mission assessment and decisional information. Responsibilities Essential Job Duties: Analyze new and changed system requirements, system designs, and refine and/or develop new programming solutions to ensure continuity between IT infrastructure design and installation Follow and implement and apply the Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) Correct/Mitigate vulnerabilities detected during security scanning Support the Installation of operating systems and device configurations & documenting device configurations Support the Development of System Operational Verification Test (SOVT) documents for each system Analyze new and changed system requirements, system designs, and refining technical solutions to ensure continuity between AV infrastructure design and installation Configure equipment to provide a secure, integrated system Provide programming support for audiovisual system controllers (Python based) Identify any materials incidental to the integration task not provided for the project Complete system tests in accordance with established test plan to ensure total operation and functional compatibly with interfacing/interacting systems, subsystems, equipment and computer programs Troubleshoot and advise corrective action for maintenance and operational issues Review of the IDP and programming requirements to become familiar with AV requirements, performance to confirm prevailing site conditions can be supported with the proposed architecture Key Responsibilities: We expect this work to be conducted in a timely and professional manner We expect the employee to be a self-starter and to pursue self-education to remain current with industry trends, new technology, new equipment, and capabilities We expect the employee to keep manager and supervisors apprised of their progress, maintain ability to work well with others, adhere to contract requirements, and comply with company policies and procedures Ability to meet deadlines and exercise judgment in Quality AV Design Ability to effectively communicate with all team members Skilled in effectively managing and prioritizing taskings Job Requirements Mandatory: Bachelor’s level degree in Engineering discipline / Computer Science Secret Clearance Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and pre-hire drug test Preferred: TS/SCI Clearance Experience in Audio Visual Engineering & Design well versed in AV Applications Certified Technical Specialist (CTS) (AVIXA Certification) Possess knowledge and skills for monitoring and measuring quality while the AV system is designed and developed through design reviews and engineering review milestones COMPTIA Sec+ Working Conditions: Position may be exposed to and is expected to protect internal/external confidential/unclassified information Work is generally performed indoors (sedentary) Outdoor work, if any, is subject to temperature extremes and inclement weather conditions Travel will be necessary (up to 30%) Physical Requirements: While performing duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand and/or walk for long periods at a time, sit, use of hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, climb ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, or smell May include lifting weight up to fifty (50) pounds as necessary Disclosures Chugach Government Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
